Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using BraveLight Systems. By creating an account, you agree to be bound by them.

Plain English summary: BraveLight Systems connects employers with candidates. Employers pay for job postings after a 30-day free trial. Candidates use the platform free. Both parties must use the platform lawfully and respectfully. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the BraveLight Systems platform at bravelightsystems.com (the "Platform"), creating an account, or clicking "I agree", you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms").

If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and references to "you" include both you personally and that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

"Content"Any text, files, images, data or information submitted to the Platform
"Trial Period"The 30-day free period available to new employer accounts
"Subscription"A paid plan that grants Employers access to posting and pipeline features

3. Eligibility

To use BraveLight Systems, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Not be barred from using such services under applicable law
  • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration

Employers must be a legally registered business or a sole proprietor operating a legitimate business. We reserve the right to verify employer identity and reject or suspend accounts that do not meet this standard.

4. Accounts & Registration

4.1 Account creation

You must register for an account to use most features of the Platform. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information and to keep it updated.

4.2 Email verification

All accounts require email verification before full access is granted. BraveLight Systems reserves the right to verify employer company details before activating posting privileges.

4.3 Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@bravelightsystems.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4.4 One account per person

Each individual may hold only one candidate account. Employers may create one company account; additional team members are added through the team invitation feature, not separate accounts.

4.5 Account types are separate

Employer and candidate accounts are separate. A person who is both a candidate and an employer must create separate accounts for each role.

5. Employer Terms

5.1 Job postings

Employers may post job listings subject to their active plan. Job postings must:

  • Describe a real, currently open position at your organisation
  • Be accurate and not misleading regarding compensation, location or role
  • Not discriminate on the basis of gender, religion, caste, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic under Indian law
  • Not solicit payment from candidates or require any fee to apply
  • Not be for adult, illegal, or otherwise prohibited roles

5.2 Candidate data responsibility

When you access candidate profiles or receive applications, you:

  • May use candidate data only for evaluating them for the specific role they applied for or that you contacted them about
  • Must not share, sell, or transfer candidate data to any third party
  • Must delete candidate data if the candidate requests it and they are not in an active hiring process with you
  • Must comply with all applicable data protection laws, including India's DPDP Act 2023
  • Are solely responsible for any processing of candidate data you undertake beyond what BraveLight Systems facilitates

You may not use candidate contact details obtained through this Platform to add them to mailing lists, sell their data, or contact them for any purpose unrelated to the recruitment process. Violation of this clause will result in immediate account termination.

5.3 Team members

You are responsible for all actions taken by team members you invite to your account. Remove team members promptly when they leave your organisation. BraveLight Systems is not liable for actions taken by team members under your account.

5.4 Interview and hiring decisions

BraveLight Systems facilitates connections and may provide interview services but does not make hiring decisions on your behalf. All hiring decisions are yours alone and must comply with applicable employment laws.

6. Candidate Terms

6.1 Profile accuracy

You must ensure your profile, resume, and all information you provide is accurate, truthful, and not misleading. Misrepresentation of qualifications, experience, or identity may result in account suspension and could constitute fraud.

6.2 Free to use

The Platform is free for candidates. We will never charge candidates for creating a profile, applying to jobs, or any other feature. If any party asks you to pay to apply for a job on this Platform, report it to us immediately.

6.3 Profile visibility

By creating a profile, you consent to it being visible to verified employers on the Platform. You can control visibility through your privacy settings and can delete your account at any time.

6.4 Application conduct

You agree to only apply for roles you genuinely intend to pursue. Applying to jobs solely to collect information or test systems is prohibited.

6.5 No guarantee of employment

BraveLight Systems does not guarantee that you will receive interviews, job offers, or employment. We connect you with employers but have no control over their hiring decisions.

7. Billing & Payments

7.1 Free trial

New employer accounts receive a 30-day free trial starting from the date of account verification. During the trial:

  • You can post up to the plan limit of jobs and use all features
  • Providing a payment method is required to activate the trial
  • ₹0 is charged during the trial period
  • The trial is available once per company — not per email address or registration

7.2 Subscription charges

After the trial period ends, your saved payment method will be charged automatically at the monthly rate of your selected plan. You will receive:

  • An email reminder 7 days before the trial ends
  • An email reminder 3 days before the trial ends
  • An email reminder 1 day before the trial ends

7.3 Pricing

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise.

7.4 Payment methods

We accept credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Amex), UPI, and supported digital wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay, Amazon Pay). Payment processing is handled by Razorpay.

7.5 Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will retry up to 3 times over 7 days and notify you by email. If payment cannot be collected, your account will be downgraded to read-only mode (you cannot post new jobs or receive new applications) until payment is resolved.

7.6 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No pro-rated refunds are provided for partial months, except where required by law.

7.7 Refunds

Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, email billing@bravelightsystems.com within 7 days of the charge. Refunds are not available for the trial authorisation (₹0) or after service has been consumed.

7.8 Price changes

We may change plan pricing with 30 days' notice sent to your registered email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or candidate profiles
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform using automated tools
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Platform
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt the Platform
  • Use the Platform to send spam, unsolicited messages, or phishing communications
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Post content that is discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, or illegal
  • Use fake identities or impersonate another person or company
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Platform
  • Use candidate data for purposes beyond legitimate recruitment
  • Share your account credentials with anyone not authorised as a team member
  • Register multiple accounts to obtain multiple free trials

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension without refund and may expose you to civil or criminal liability under applicable Indian law.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 BraveLight's IP

The Platform, including its design, software, logos, trademarks, and all content created by BraveLight Systems, is owned by BraveLight Systems and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9.2 Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (your resume, profile, job descriptions). By submitting content, you grant BraveLight Systems a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and share your content as necessary to operate the Platform (e.g. showing your profile to employers, displaying job listings to candidates).

This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to reasonable backup and legal retention requirements.

9.3 Content you must not submit

  • Content that infringes another party's copyright or trademark
  • Content that violates another person's privacy or confidential information
  • Content that is defamatory, obscene, or illegal under Indian law

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Platform availability

BraveLight Systems provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure operation of the Platform.

10.2 No employment guarantee

We do not guarantee that employers will find suitable candidates, or that candidates will receive job offers or employment. We are a facilitator, not a recruitment agency or employment service.

10.3 Employer-candidate interactions

BraveLight Systems is not a party to any agreement between employers and candidates. We are not responsible for:

  • Employer hiring decisions or rejections
  • Accuracy of job descriptions posted by employers
  • Accuracy of candidate profiles or resumes
  • Disputes arising between employers and candidates
  • Any employment relationship or its terms

10.4 Cap on liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, BraveLight Systems' total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid to BraveLight Systems in the 3 months preceding the claim, or
  • ₹5,000

10.5 Exclusion of consequential damages

BraveLight Systems shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Termination

11.1 By you

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account ends your access to the Platform. Employers who delete their account forfeit any remaining subscription period without refund.

11.2 By BraveLight Systems

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • We believe you are engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Your account has been inactive for more than 24 months
  • We are required to do so by law or court order
  • Continuing your account poses a risk to other users or the Platform

11.3 Effect of termination

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ends immediately. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination (billing obligations, intellectual property, dispute resolution, limitation of liability) continue to apply.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Informal resolution first

Before raising a formal dispute, please contact us at legal@bravelightsystems.com describing the issue. We will attempt to resolve it within 15 business days.

12.2 Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). Arbitration shall be conducted in English, with a single arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement or, failing that, by the relevant arbitral institution.

12.3 Class action waiver

You agree that any dispute will be resolved individually and not as part of a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Subject to the arbitration clause above, the courts of India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • Send an email notification to all registered users at least 14 days before changes take effect
  • Display a notice on your dashboard

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Platform and delete your account.
